What is Surveying?

Land Surveying is the technique of determining the three-dimensional position of points as well as the Bearings and Distances between them. A Registered Professional Land Surveyor uses these points to establish Land Maps and Boundaries for Ownership, Surface or Subsurface Location, Building Corners or any number of other purposes required by the government, such as property sales.
